Mustofa Abi Hamid pursued a doctorate in the Graduate School of Technological and Vocational Education of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta to study TVET. For their master’s degree, he pursued the Postgraduate Programme of Technical and Vocational Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang to study TVET. He obtained a Master of Vocational Education (M.Pd.T.) in 2015 with Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Fahmi Rizal, M.Pd., M.T. as his supervisor. He got a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.) from Universitas Lampung in 2013. His undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Dewa Putu Nyeneng, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Undang Rosidin, M.Pd.

He began his professional work as a lecturer in 2016 and civil servant (PNS) in 2018 at the Department of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta). In 2017 he was appointed as a Research Associate (Asisten Ahli) [Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia Decree No. 035/UN43/KP/SK/2017. His involvement in the institutional development of Untirta was started as the Head of the Electrical Engineering Vocational Education Laboratory at the Department of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education in 2019 [Rector of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University Decree No.: 760/UN43/KPT.KP.08.01/2019 & No.: 79/UN43/KPT.KP.08.01/2020. External link: OneDrive].
